Terms of Use

Last updated · July 19, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Justyna Politanska, developer of the mobile application Mirror Works (the "App", "Mirror", "we"). By downloading, accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

01What Mirror is

Mirror is a self-reflection tool. It guides you through a structured, step-by-step process to examine a recurring thought or belief, with the help of an AI guide. Mirror is not therapy, counselling, medical care or a medical device, and it does not provide professional advice of any kind. It is intended for personal reflection and general wellbeing only.

02Eligibility and age

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. The App is not intended for anyone under 18.

03Your account

You can use Mirror as a guest, in which case an anonymous account is created for you, or you can add an e-mail address and password to secure your account and keep access across devices. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity that takes place under your account. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

04The AI guide and its limits

Mirror's responses are generated by artificial intelligence. To provide them, the content of your messages is processed by external AI model providers, which may include, but are not limited to, OpenAI and Anthropic, or another provider offering comparable technology. The provider we use may change over time. You acknowledge and agree that:

Important — please read

  • AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation, and you use them at your own discretion.
  • The AI guide is not a substitute for a qualified professional (such as a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser).
  • The App is not for emergencies or crises. If you are in crisis or may be in danger, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.

05Acceptable use

You agree to use the App lawfully and only for your own personal reflection. You agree not to:

  • use the App in any unlawful way, or to harm yourself or others;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or gain unauthorised access to the App or its systems;
  • copy, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the App or its content; or
  • use the App to develop a competing product or to train another AI model.

06Your content

The reflections, beliefs and messages you create in the App ("Your Content") belong to you. You grant us a limited licence to store and process Your Content only as needed to operate the App for you — for example to save your sessions and to generate AI responses. We do not use Your Content to advertise to you, and we do not sell it. You can delete Your Content by deleting your account.

07Our intellectual property

The App and everything in it that is not Your Content — including the Mirror Works name and branding, the design, the text and articles, and the structured reflection method and its sequence of steps — is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for your own reflection. They do not transfer any ownership to you, and you may not copy or reuse our method, content or branding without our written permission.

08Subscriptions and payments

Mirror is free to start. Some features are free; the full process is available through an optional Premium plan, offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. The current price is shown in the App and in the app store before you confirm a purchase.

All payments — subscriptions and one-time purchases — are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their terms. You authorise the store to charge the payment method on your store account. Please note:

  • Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your store account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple or Google account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
  • The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — it does not renew and you are not charged again.
  • There is currently no free trial.
  • Refunds are handled by the app stores under their own policies; we do not process payments directly and cannot issue store refunds ourselves.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers). If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content or services. By starting to use a paid feature immediately after purchase, you ask us to begin the service at once and you acknowledge that you lose this right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided. In practice, purchases and any refunds are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play as the seller, under their policies.

09Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services to function, including Supabase (backend), external AI model providers, RevenueCat (subscription management), and the Apple and Google app stores. Your use of the App is also subject to those providers' terms, and we are not responsible for their services.

Apple App Store. If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App, for any maintenance and support, and for addressing any claims relating to the App (including product-liability, regulatory, consumer-protection and intellectual-property claims). In the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the App. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10Availability and changes to the App

We work to keep the App available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, suspend or remove features, and we may limit or discontinue the App, at our discretion.

11Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App or its AI responses will be accurate, reliable, suitable for a particular purpose, or free of errors or interruptions.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for loss of data, or for any harm arising from your reliance on AI-generated responses or on the App generally. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rules.

13Termination

You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that is unlawful or harmful. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

14Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. If you continue to use the App after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

15Governing law and general terms

These Terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you keep all rights granted to you by applicable consumer-protection law.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours (for example if the App is sold or reorganised), without reducing your rights as a consumer.
